Mohan graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy from The Tn. Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, India. He has 19 years of experience working in Canada, Ireland, Caribbean islands, and India with infants, children, adolescents, adults and the elderly population with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities. He is adept in adaptive and specialized seating for children, adults and the elderly with complex physical needs, and also has extensive experience prescribing assistive and adaptive devices for the elderly in their own home and nursing home, all of which improve their level of independence and quality of living.
Mohan is certified in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) from University of Southern California and certified at the Advanced level in Therapeutic Listening (Vital Links), a sound/music based intervention for sensory processing difficulties. He is also certified in Handwriting without Tears courses (Kindergarten to 5th grade, Get set for school Readiness & writing and Literacy & Math). He is trained in trans-disciplinary play based assessment and intervention by Ms. Toni Linder (University of Denver, Colorado), which uses play as an assessment and therapy tool, and he has extensive experience in using sensorimotor strategies for gross and fine motor skill development for children with difficulties. Mohan has also completed advanced level training in ESDM model (Early Start Denver Model), which is a gold standard therapy intervention for children with Autism (under 6 yrs).
